CUSHDRAIN - THE SOLUTION FOR A SAFER FIELD

What is Cushdrain?

Cushdrain® pads provide added safety for your athletes by improving shock absorption, which helps reduce concussions. Not only does it provide protection for your athletes, but also improves the drainage of the field, which reduces downtime caused by heavy rains. The elastic layer provides planarity that holds its form and position through 3-4 life cycles of the turf.

Cushdrain’s binder is made at Hellas Polymers and uses only non-toxic components and no heavy metals. It is a two-in-one system mixed on-site that is made of mega rubber and polyurethane binder — moisture-cured 48 hours before installing the synthetic turf.

Understanding G-Max

The lower the G-max of a playing surface, the more safe the surface is for athletes. Our patented Matrix® Turf system combined with a Cushdrain shock pad maintains a G-max rating comparable to that of a pristine natural grass field. Any G-max rating under 100 reduces the relative risk of a concussion by 50% when compared to the 160 G-max rating of a generic turf system over a stone base.

WHAT IS GMAX DRAIN

Gmax Drain® is a pre-fabricated pad specially designed to flex upon impact, providing superior player protection over a 40-year lifespan. This pad offers great planarity and horizontal drainage capabilities optimal for a synthetic turf system. The Gmax Drain is a high density injection molded polypropylene pad made from recycled material and is fully recyclable after use.
